It is part of the Unicamp Library System (SBU) which brings together the central library and other libraries of all teaching units, centers and research centers of the University.
With the mission of supporting the teaching, research and extension activities of the Faculty of Education, the Library has consolidated itself as a reference unit for publications and information services in Education.
In 1994, the library was named “Prof. Joel Martins Library”, in posthumous homage to professor and researcher Joel Martins, for his relevant contribution to the establishment of the Postgraduate Program in Education in Brazil.
