RULES FOR EDITORIAL PRODUCTION

Proposals for publication of works by Editora FE-UNICAMP must be made through the online submission platform (https://editora.fe.unicamp.br/) and must comply with the “Editorial Guidelines” available at website from the Publisher.

After analyzing the material, the Editorial Board may return it for adaptation to general publishing standards or send it to advisors for evaluation. .

If the proposal is approved, the FE-UNICAMP Publications Department will adapt the edition to the standards of the corresponding series, taking care of the final layout and the layout of the editorial project.

This policy aims to ensure that works endorsed by Editora FE-UNICAMP maintain the standards of excellence and demand of the main university publishers.

The intellectual quality standard, the published content (texts, images, iconography, tables, graphs, etc.) and the costs arising from production are the sole responsibility of the authors and/or organizers of the material.

FE-UNICAMP Publisher subscribes to the codes of scientific conduct of Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), as well as the guidelines of the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq) and the manual of good practices of the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP).

 

EDITORIAL GUIDELINES

Proposals submitted for evaluation must be forwarded observing the following aspects:

  1. Originals must be named and linked to the authors who will be fully and publicly responsible for the content or a substantial part of it. It should be noted that the content of the published material, including the expression of points of view, as well as the accuracy of references and citations, are the responsibility of the authors.
     
  2. The first or last pages of the works must include mini-CVs with brief information about their authors/organizers.
     
  3. Pre-textual elements must include information that helps in the identification and use of the work.
     
  4. Annals or collections must pay attention to the standard of coherence and articulation between the texts or chapters that make up the work, seeking to avoid discrepancies in the use of the formal written form of the Portuguese language and in the quality of reflection and inequality of standardization.
     
  5. Proposals must include an introduction (presentation text) that presents the organic nature and demonstrates the articulation between the texts or chapters, highlighting the origin of the work/collection and its purposes.
     
  6. Materials must be submitted in Word for Windows text editor, Palatino Linotype font, size 12, line spacing 1,5, A4 page size (297 x 210 mm), with 2,5 cm top and bottom margins; and 3 cm right and left margins; and in .doc, .docx or .rtf format.
     
  7. Proposals must be previously and duly reviewed by specialized professionals regarding spelling and grammar rules and ABNT standardization.
     
  8. The Technical Sheet must contain: data (name, email and institution) of the technical personnel responsible for preparing the cataloging sheet, ABNT standardization, translation, review and text preparation.
     
  9. Proposals for work in foreign languages ​​must be translated before submission, complying with the rigor of revision and layout, and presenting the authorization of the foreign publisher responsible for the patrimonial rights of the author and/or the book.
     
  10. Proposals containing texts that have already been published must present the appropriate authorizations from the copyright holders.
     
  11. Illustrations, tables, images and graphic elements must be appropriately numbered and captioned, with references to sources where applicable. Explanatory notes must be numbered consecutively within the text, in the form of footnotes.
     
  12. Authorizations for the use of images in the text (photographs, tables, graphs, engravings, figures, etc.) must be sent separately, with the exception of those produced by the authors themselves.

 

RESOURCES

The Publisher FE-UNICAMP proposes that after the initial procedures and approval of the Editorial Board:

  1. Authors are responsible for submitting the original (digital) copies duly revised and laid out in accordance with general standards, bearing the financial costs of revisions, translations, illustrations, etc.
     
  2. The preparation or supervision of the cataloging record is the responsibility of the FE Librarians, who will guide the applicants regarding the ISBN request with the Brazilian Chamber of Books (CBL).
     
  3. Payment of ISBN, DOI/book fees and other necessary services are the budgetary responsibility of the proposers.
     
  4. The works of Editora FE-Unicamp will be published exclusively in e-book format and made available for download with free and open access, under the indication of use of the CC-BY license.

 

SUBMISSIONS

The Publisher receives proposals for works and collections on a continuous basis and occasionally proposes thematic calls to the community.
