The scholarship aims to promote academic cooperation with Latin American universities and attract postgraduate talent to pursue official master's degrees at the University of Cantabria (UC), in Spain. Seven (7) scholarships will be offered to graduate students from Latin American universities associated with the Ibero-American University Association of Postgraduate Studies (AUIP).

Intended for: Graduates from Latin American universities affiliated with AUIP, with a degree in an area related to the desired master's degree, who do not reside in Spain from the publication of the notice until their arrival at the university.

 The University of Birmingham and the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP) signed an agreement in January 2024 to strengthen collaboration and investment between the two institutions. 

The grants aim to support planning visits, workshops and exchanges with the partner institution with a view to developing the strategic partnership.

1. Academic projects to expand UoB-UNICAMP academic networks and research results, joint conferences, workshops, symposia, collaborative experiments and co-authored publications;

The program pays tribute to professor and historian Beatriz Nascimento from Sergipe, recognized for her anti-racist struggle and academic contributions. Beatriz was a fundamental figure in the study of quilombos in Brazil, as well as being a prominent voice in black feminism. 

Beatriz Nascimento, unfortunately, was the victim of femicide in January 1995, when she was studying for a master's degree in Communication at UFRJ. In 2021, she was posthumously awarded the title of doctor honoris causa by UFRJ, in recognition of her career.

The scholarship, sponsored by the International Italian-Latin American Organization (IILA) for Latin American citizens, is worth approximately 7 Swiss francs (around 7,3 euros) and includes: (i) a stipend for accommodation and meals; (ii) health insurance; and (iii) 1436 Swiss francs for travel expenses. CERN will offer students: an 8-week associate contract to work on an advanced technical project; a program of lectures on physics and information technology; and information on accommodation.

The internship at CERN is intended for students enrolled in bachelor's or master's degree courses in the areas of computer science, engineering, physics or mathematics. The requirements to apply for the scholarship are:

• have completed, by the European summer of 2024, at least six semesters of university-level studies;
• not have worked at CERN for more than three months;
• not having participated in previous editions of the Program;

FAPESP Agency - A FAPESP and National Research Agency (ANR) announce a new call for proposals to select and support projects conducted in partnership by researchers from France and higher education and research institutions in the State of São Paulo.

The call follows the terms of the cooperation agreement between FAPESP and ANR. This is the 18th international call involving the participation of the institutions since the first joint call.

The 2022 edition proposes five thematic blocks for the preparation of research projects: Engineering, Chemistry and Physics; Computer Science and Mathematics; Materials Science; Social Sciences and Humanities; and Environment, Ecosystems and Biological Resources.

The call has two lines of financing: 1) world events; 2) national or international events.

Schedule
The submission of proposals will take place according to a single schedule, according to the period in which the event is held.
a) LINE 1 – Global events that will be held from 01/10/2021 to 30/08/2023; and
b) LINE 2 – National or International Events that will be held between 01/10/2021 and 30/08/2022.

Researchers from Belgium and the state of São Paulo can submit joint research proposals at all areas of knowledge, as long as they deal with basic scientific research . All projects will start on January 01, 2022, and must last 3 (three) years.

Applicants may apply for up to one Postdoctoral fellowship, with a maximum duration of 24 months. Exceptionally, the postdoctoral fellowships awarded in this call will not be eligible for the granting of a Research Internship Abroad (BEPE). This exception applies to this call, and requests for exceptions to this rule will not be considered.

A FAPESP and GACR signed a Cooperation Agreement in November 2018 to stimulate and strengthen collaboration between researchers from the state of São Paulo and the Czech Republic.

Under this Agreement, FAPESP and GACR launch this call for proposals for collaborative projects for researchers affiliated with Higher Education and Research Institutions in the state of São Paulo and for researchers and Research Institutions in the Czech Republic.

GACR has its own budget allocated to this call and FAPESP will match the funding up to the limit of R$450.000,00 per project, for projects lasting 36 months (R$150.000,00 per year).
