Master and PhD
Qualification requirements:
MASTERS students: Must have completed all the credits required for the course, according to the catalog in force in the year of entry; it is mandatory to complete the Masters I Scheduled Activities, Masters II Scheduled Activities and be proficient in at least 1 (one) language.
DOCTORAL STUDENTS: Must have completed all the credits required for the course, according to the catalog in force in the year of admission; it is mandatory to complete the Doctoral Programmed Activities I, Doctoral Programmed Activities II and be proficient in at least 2 (two) languages.
Deadlines for qualification:
MASTERS students: the exam must be taken up to six months before the end of the full payment period.
DOCTORAL students: the exam must be taken up to fifteen months before the end of the full payment period for entrants up to 2017 and up to twelve months before the end of the full payment period for entrants from 2018 onwards.
Note: Scholarship students have their qualification deadline changed and are informed at the time the scholarship is awarded.
The candidate must request the qualifying exam on 21 (twenty-one) days in advance of the date set through the SIGA on the DAC Portal.
Attention – SIGA (DAC's academic management system) provides the options to save and submit the qualification request. The request is only sent to the secretariat after requested by the student. The save option only saves the information already entered and allows the student to make changes until they request it. Please pay attention to the 21-day deadline, the system does not accept requests sent/requested outside this period.

Ethics Committee:
Before requesting the qualifying exam, the student must indicate the ethics declaration option in SIGA. After informing the option, the work supervisor must approve the declaration. Read.
Research involving human beings must pass through the Ethics Committee before data collection. Information about the Human Research Ethics Committee (CEP).

Composition of the examining committee – Masters and Doctorate:
The qualification panel must be composed, at a minimum, of:
Advisor;
2 full members;
1 substitute member.
Note: All members can be internal or external.
Important:
1. If the external member (primary or alternate) is not found in the SIGA/DAC search, the following must be completed: mini-resume and send via form so that the secretariat can arrange for these members to be included in SIGA.
2. If any member is going to participate by video conferenceThe scheduling of videoconferencing rooms at FE is the sole responsibility of the student and their advisor, and must be done at least 30 business days before the qualification date. In this case, it is necessary to fill out the form. image and voice usage terms, which should be sent by form.
