Postdoctoral Researcher Program

The Postdoctoral Researcher Program (PPPD) constitutes a qualification modality and
Researcher training in research and teaching will meet the conditions established in the regulations on this page.

Researchers holding a doctoral degree obtained in Brazil or abroad may participate in the PPPD at Unicamp.

You may join the PPPD researcher program as:

with scholarship or funding;

> without scholarship or funding;

> Researcher with paid leave or approval to join the PPPD program, granted by the research and teaching institution, public body, company, or private institution with which they have a functional or employment relationship.

Regulations

Rules in force from July 2018:

 

  • Normative Instruction DGRH No. 001/2021: Establishes guidelines and procedures for the Postdoctoral Researcher Program (PPPD), the Collaborating Professor Program (PROFC), the Collaborating Researcher Program (PQC), and the Researcher Program. Guest Visitor (PVC) at Unicamp.

  • CPG Resolution 01/2022: Defines the processing, internal rules and procedures aimed at approval and recognition institutional participation in the Postdoctoral Researcher Program – PPPD at the Faculty of Unicamp Education, in accordance with Deliberation CONSU-A-03/2018 and Normative Instruction DGRH 01/2021.

Registrations

Registration for the Postdoctoral Researcher Program – PPPD is carried out on a continuous basis.

Guidelines for the candidate
Step 1 – Know the current regulations available at:

Step 2 – Evaluate the Program’s Research Lines to determine which of them your project fits in with and choose a professor:

Step 3 – Contact the professor of interest to check availability for analysis of your project and possibility of accepting supervision.

Guidelines for the supervisor:
Step 1 – Analyze the project and fill out the OPINION, expressing interest and willingness to supervise the work.

Step 2 – Forward to the Research Line and obtain approval regarding the supervisor's opinion. → Send to the Department (for science, if deemed necessary  Request that the opinion be included on the agenda for an ordinary meeting of the CPG → The CPG forwards it to the Congregation of the unit → The Postgraduate Secretariat initiates the procedures and guidelines for the interested party to register in the DGRH system.

ATTENTION CANDIDATE:

I – For researcher with grant funding post-doctorate or equivalent scholarship granted by external institutions or by Unicamp, under the terms of § 6 of CONSU Resolution A-03/2018:

> it is necessary to present the Grant Term or Grant Agreement signed by the corresponding institution;

II – For researcher with paid leave or consent to join the Program by the research and teaching institution, public body, company or private institution with which you have a functional or employment relationship, it is necessary to present:

a) term of knowledge or document proving the researcher's functional or employment relationship;

b) authorization of paid leave to carry out the post-doctorate or agreement to carry it out, if there is no leave;

c) declaration of dedication of at least 24 (twenty-four) hours per week (model below). Once completed and signed, the declaration in PDF file must be sent to: posfe@unicamp.br - mucini@unicamp.br

III – For researcher without a grant or funding specific to the post-doctorate, it is necessary to present the declaration of dedication of at least 24 (twenty-four) hours per week (model below). Once completed and signed, the declaration in PDF file must be sent to posfe@unicamp.br - mucini@unicamp.br

Additional guidelines:

After due approvals from the FE bodies (CPG and Congregation), the Postgraduate Office will make available a registration request via the DGRH computerized system, which will be automatically sent by email to the interested party with an authentication code, for access and completion of the application for membership in the Postdoctoral Researcher Program - PPPD, as well as uploading the necessary documentation.

Renovation

Guidelines for postdoctoral students:
Step 1 – Send to the supervisor, 90 days before the end of the initially approved period, a partial and summarized report of the activities carried out in the previous period;

Step 2 – Attach:

I – For researcher with grant funding post-doctorate or equivalent scholarship granted by external institutions or by Unicamp, under the terms of § 6 of CONSU Resolution A-03/2018:

> it is necessary to present the Grant Term or Grant Agreement signed by the corresponding institution;

II – For researcher with paid leave or consent to join the Program by the research and teaching institution, public body, company or private institution with which you maintain a functional or employment relationship, it is necessary to present:

a) term of knowledge or document proving the researcher's functional or employment relationship;

b) authorization for paid leave to undertake post-doctoral work or a term of consent for such leave, if there is no leave;

c) Declaration of dedication of at least 24 (twenty-four) hours per week (template below). After being completed and signed, the declaration in PDF format must be sent to: posfe@unicamp.br - mucini@unicamp.br

III – For researcher without a grant and without specific funding For postdoctoral positions, a declaration of dedication of at least 24 (twenty-four) hours per week is required (template below). Guidelines for the supervisor:
Step 1 – Analyze the extension request and complete the SEEM Regarding the same, expressing interest and availability to maintain supervision in the new period presented.

Step 2 – Carry out the internal procedures at the Faculty of Education: forward to the Research Line and obtain “agreement” on the supervisor’s opinion → Send to the Department (for science, if deemed necessary) → Request that the opinion be included on the agenda for an ordinary meeting of the CPG → The CPG forwards it to the FE Congregation → The Postgraduate Secretariat initiates the procedures and guidelines for the interested party to carry out the renewal in the DGRH system.

ATTENTION:

After the necessary approvals in the FE bodies (CPG and Congregation), the interested party must access the system DGRH and start the renewal procedures.

Final report

FINAL REPORT/CLOSING

Guidelines for postdoctoral students:
Step 1 – Send the final report to the supervisor for an opinion;

Step 2 – Along with the final report, the postdoctoral fellow must submit a proof of submission of a paper for publication in a journal of academic recognition, wide circulation and explicit editorial policy, related to the post-doctoral research project, as well as proof of public exhibition, at the Faculty of Education, of the final results of the research

Step 3 – Send the final report in pdf file for posfe@unicamp.br for insertion into the Library database.

Step 4 – Insert the final report into the DGRH system – https://www.siarh.unicamp.br/sgp/

Guidelines for the supervisor
Step 1 – Analyze the final report and fill out the SEEM about the same.

Step 2 – Carry out the internal procedures at the Faculty of Education: – forward to the Research Line and obtain “agreement” on the supervisor’s opinion → Send to the Department (for science, if deemed necessary) → Request that the opinion, along with proof of submission and proof of public presentation, be included on the agenda for an ordinary meeting of the CPG → The CPG forwards it to the Congregation for approval.
