Qualification exam

The Qualification Exam will cover the topic of the student's dissertation and will be carried out upon request by the advisor to the Program Coordination.    

To apply for the Qualifying Exam, you must have completed all the credits required for the course and be Proficient in at least 1 (one) language. 

The Qualifying Exam must be taken at least 06 (six) months before the final deadline for completion.  

The candidate must request the qualifying exam 21 (twenty-one) days before the date set through SIGA on the DAC Portal:  https://www.dac.unicamp.br/portal/acesso/estudantes  

Attention -  SIGA (DAC's academic management system) provides the options to save and send the qualification request. The request is only sent to the secretary after it has been requested by the student. The save option only saves the information already entered and allows the student to make changes until the request is made. Please pay attention to the 21-day deadline; the system does not accept requests sent/requested outside this deadline. 

Ethics Committee:

Before When requesting the qualifying exam, the student must indicate the ethics declaration option in SIGA. After informing the option, the work supervisor must approve the declaration.

Research involving human beings must pass through the Ethics Committee before data collection. Information about the Human Research Ethics Committee (CEP).

Composition of the examining committee:

 The qualification panel must be composed, at a minimum, of:

Advisor;

2 full members;

1 substitute member.

Note: All members can be internal or external.

Public Qualifying Examination Sessions

Important:  1. If there are members external to the program who are not registered in SIGA, it will be necessary to send the mini-resume to the secretary to the email educacao@unicamp.br arrange for the inclusion of these members in SIGA.

2. If any member is going to participate via videoconference, scheduling the FE videoconference rooms is the sole responsibility of the student and their advisor and must be done at least 30 business days before the defense date.
