Subjects and Credit Validation

According to the Regulations of the Stricto Sensu Postgraduate Program - Professional Master's Degree in School Education, the academic activities of the Program (MP) consist of subjects and activities related to the preparation of the dissertation (Port. Nor. No. 17 CAPES and General Regulations of Postgraduate Studies at Unicamp).

Each academic activity will be assigned a specific number of credit units, as per the Graduate Catalog. Each credit unit is equivalent to 15 hours of classes and seminars listed in the catalog, lasting 15 weeks. Special courses and seminars, of an occasional nature, will be registered with the Academic Directorate and their credits will be defined by the following formula: number of credits = number of class hours/15 academic weeks.

The study plan to be developed by the student will be defined jointly with the advisor, in compliance with the standards established by the CPG. Theoretical courses offered by other graduate programs, whether internal or external to Unicamp, may be included in the study plan, up to a limit of 06 credits, while preserving the specificity of the graduate student's education.

At the discretion of the CPG, they may be validated credits in theoretical Postgraduate subjects in which the student has passed, including before entering the Program, up to a limit of 06 credits as defined in the previous paragraph, provided that the specificity of the postgraduate's training is observed.

The course is organized with a workload of 360 hours. Based on the Regulations of the Graduate Program in Education at FE/UNICAMP, its minimum duration is 12 (twelve) months and maximum duration is 30 (thirty) months.

In addition to the activities mentioned above, the student must take a Qualifying Exam and demonstrate proficiency in a foreign language.
