Change of Supervisor

Each regular student will be guided in their activities, from the moment they enter the program, by a duly accredited Supervisor who is a member of the Program's faculty, as indicated by the Research Line in the selection process.

In exceptional cases, upon justified indication of the respective Research Line and after approval by the CPG, the Supervisor may be external to the Program, in which case he/she must be duly accredited for this purpose and have a co-supervisor internal to the Program.

With the approval of the CPG, the replacement of the Supervisor and Co-Supervisor by another is permitted, provided that the request is duly justified and signed by the interested parties.

The interruption of the guidance activity link must be presented by the advisor or the advisee to the CPG and approved by it, hearing, if necessary, the parties.

If the student is unable to find a new accredited Supervisor in the Program, within a period of up to 180 (one hundred and eighty) days, the CPG will propose to the Congregation, in a detailed opinion, the cancellation of the enrollment, as provided in the Regulations.

As approved in the CPG of May 15, 2024, from this date onwards, changes in guidance require completion of the Form, attaching the document below as instructed:
