Chinese delegation visits Unicamp's Faculty of Education in an international cooperation initiative

Meeting promoted by DERI strengthens academic dialogue and opens up prospects for cooperation between Chinese institutions and Unicamp in various areas of teaching and research.

A delegation of representatives from several Chinese educational institutions was welcomed by Unicamp’s School of Education (FE) on June 9th, in the Maurício Tragtenberg auditorium. The visit was part of a program organized by Unicamp’s Executive Board of International Relations (DERI), with the aim of strengthening institutional ties and exploring opportunities for academic cooperation at different levels of education.

The delegation is welcomed by FE staff and teachers.

The delegation was composed of representatives from renowned Chinese universities and institutions in Beijing, such as the Municipal Education Commission, the International Education Exchange Center, the Institute of Technology, the Youth Politics College, the Polytechnic, Zhongguancun High School, the Normal University, the Yuying School, the Beijing Middle School; as well as others, such as the Capital Medical University, the Capital Normal University, the North China University of Technology, Peking University, Tsinghua University and Chinese Testing International.

At FE, the delegation was welcomed by the Director of International Relations at Unicamp, Professor Rafael Dias; by the Director of the unit, Professor Débora Jeffrey; by its technical coordinator, Tassiane Bragagnolo; by the Director of the Confucius Institute at Unicamp, Professor Ana Elisa Spaolonzi; as well as by faculty members and members of the technical and administrative staff. During the meeting, the visitors learned about the structure of the School of Education and attended an institutional presentation about Unicamp.

The presentations were opened by Dr. Wei Xubin, deputy director general of the Beijing Municipal Education Commission, followed by speeches by representatives of other Chinese institutions, who shared their areas of activity and possibilities for academic exchange. Professor Débora Jeffrey highlighted the importance of initiatives like this for strengthening international research and training networks, while Dias emphasized the potential for collaboration in joint projects involving student mobility, teacher training and scientific exchanges.

After the meeting in the Maurício Tragtenberg auditorium, the delegation also visited one of the Videoconference rooms of the FE Distance Education Coordination, located in Annex III, where they received an explanation from the coordinator, Leandro Barbosa, thus expanding their knowledge about the pedagogical practices developed in the unit.

The Chinese delegation expressed gratitude for the reception and for the opportunity to learn more about the structure and projects of Unicamp and the Faculty of Education, reinforcing their mutual interest in future academic partnerships.

The visit is part of Unicamp's actions to expand its international collaboration networks, strengthening the exchange of knowledge and promoting global academic dialogue.
