In the week of June 26, Unicamp hosted two major congresses in the area of Extension: Congress of Extension and Culture of the Universities of São Paulo and VI AUGM Extension Congress. Both took place at the Convention Center and featured several thematic tables, cultural activities and workshops, centrally addressing the theme of “Democratization”.
The Extension, Events and Special Projects team participated in the program, alternating work shifts, thus without compromising service, and were able to update themselves on the main topics related to their demands, such as curricularization and the axes of action of Extension.
The Extension and Culture Congress of the Universities of São Paulo brought together Unicamp, USP and Unesp to discuss the curricularization of Extension in Undergraduate Studies, Innovation, the financing of Extension activities and the interface between Extension and Culture, with guests from several institutions in the country.
The AUGM Extension Congress brought together representatives from different countries in the Southern Cone with the intention of establishing strategies for Extension to promote sustainable development, in accordance with the objectives of the UN (United Nations) 2030 Agenda. The Montevideo Group Universities Association (AUGM) is an entity that brings together 41 public higher education institutions from Brazil, Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Paraguay and Uruguay.
On this occasion, the FE team had the opportunity to gain further training for the work, especially in the areas of institutionalization of Extension, Human Rights, public communication and internationalization. In addition, they participated in workshops related to the development of extension projects and communication of extension activities, as well as cultural activities and international integration promoted by the event.
The team hopes that the knowledge can bring improvements and advances to the extension activities of the Faculty of Education, which will have a greater scope from the 2nd semester of 2023.
The congress program was broadcast live and is available at Youtube of the Pro-Rectory of Extension and Culture of Unicamp.
