Last week, the Federal University of Triângulo Mineiro hosted the 6th Meeting of the Southeast Region of FORCULT, which brought together representatives from several Higher Education institutions. Forum for Cultural Management of Public Higher Education Institutions (FORCULT) was created in 2017 to debate objectives and challenges of cultural management in Higher Education, as well as cultural policies to be promoted in this regard.
The Outreach, Events and Projects team of the School of Education has participated in the Forum for the past two years, through Working Groups and projects coordinated with other universities throughout Brazil. Employee Giovanna Romaro has represented the demands of Unicamp and the School of Education at the Forum, collaborating as secretary of its National Coordination in the 2021-2023 biennium and member of the Cultural Dynamics Observatory WG.
The Southeast Regional Meeting was another opportunity to discuss institutional tools for scientific and cultural events, think of new actions for the curricularization of Extension and establish partnerships with other institutions. The experience brought new work perspectives to the sector, in addition to shared cultural enrichment. During the meeting at UFTM, the venue for the next regional meeting was also elected, which will be at the Federal University of ABC in 2024, and the new coordination of the Southeast Regional for the 2023-2025 biennium, which will be composed of Jonas Defante (IFF), Aparecida Rosário (UFTM) and Giovanna Romaro (Unicamp).
Participation was provided with support from Educorp, CSA-RH and the Management of the Faculty of Education, through funding for external training.
