FE and Educorp form a partnership to offer a course to Dedic professionals

The opening ceremony for the extension course “Early childhood education and the fundamental rights of children and infancy” took place on Wednesday night (2/8). It was organized through a partnership between the School of Education (FE), the School of Corporate Education (Educorp) and the Early Childhood Education Division (Dedic). The course is aimed especially at Dedic professionals, but also has vacancies for early childhood education teachers from the municipal schools of Campinas and Valinhos. The course content meets the demands initially made by Dedic teachers.

The opening ceremony of the extension course “Early childhood education and the fundamental rights of children and childhood” took place on Wednesday night (2/8), organized through a partnership between the Faculty of Education (FE), the School of Corporate Education (Educorp) and the Early Childhood Education Division (Dedic).

The course is aimed especially at Dedic professionals, but also has vacancies for early childhood education teachers from the municipal schools of Campinas and Valinhos. The course content meets the demands initially made by Dedic teachers.

The ceremony was attended by the rector Antonio José de Almeida Meirelles, the general coordinator of Unicamp, Maria Luiza Moretti, the former rector and current Secretary of Education of Campinas, José Tadeu Jorge, the director of the Faculty of Education, Renê Trentin Silveira, and the coordinator of Educorp, Edison Lins.

Everyone mentioned the importance of Early Childhood Education and the impact that the initiative will have on improving the quality of work performed by professionals in the field.

The inaugural class was given by professor Rita de Cassia de Freitas Coelho, who coordinates the Early Childhood Education area of ​​the Ministry of Education. In her presentation, she highlighted the course as reaffirming commitments in defense of Early Childhood Education as a relevant stage in the Basic Education process, in a full model of educational and broadly social inclusion.
