FE-Unicamp participates in institutional meeting promoted by Seduc and strengthens dialogue on teacher training

FE-Unicamp participated in a meeting promoted by Seduc, through Efape, to strengthen the state network's continuing education policy.

On June 9, the Unicamp School of Education (FE-Unicamp) participated in an institutional meeting promoted by the São Paulo State Department of Education (Seduc), through the São Paulo State School for the Training and Improvement of Education Professionals (Efape). The event was held in person in Auditorium 1 of Efape, and its purpose was to bring Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) closer to the continuing education policy developed by the state network.

The opening of the meeting was led by the State Secretary of Education, Renato Feder, who highlighted the importance of expanding ties between the universities responsible for initial teacher training and the ongoing training structures offered by Efape. The meeting was attended by representatives from several education networks — state, federal, municipal and private.

Teacher training in focus: listening and joint construction

During the meeting, reflections were shared on the challenges faced in the daily lives of public schools in São Paulo, with an emphasis on topics related to learning gaps, student engagement and support for pedagogical practices. Representatives from FE-Unicamp contributed to the event by sharing experiences and points of view based on their research and training activities, with the aim of collaborating in the construction of more effective strategies for restoring learning and strengthening teaching practices.

The articulation between the initial training offered by universities and the continuing education promoted by Efape was one of the central themes of the meeting. Possibilities of curricular alignment, monitoring of interns, support for the professional development of teachers in the network and appreciation of experiences produced in the daily school routine were discussed.

Partnerships to strengthen public education

FE-Unicamp highlighted the importance of initiatives that bring universities and schools closer together, promoting dialogue between theory and practice, and recognizing the knowledge built by educators in schools. During the meeting, ways to enhance the participation of teachers in the network in supervising interns were also discussed, as well as the expansion of joint strategies aimed at improving the quality of public education.

Representatives of the Faculty of Education reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening the state's public education policies and training critical teachers, prepared to face the contemporary challenges of schools.
