Note: This manual is based on the Windows 10 operating system and Chrome browser. For other operating systems or browsers, the procedures are similar but may present different menus or options. The repository is also available on Android mobile devices via the Google Drive app.
Ways to access the file repository
Hair navigator (Chrome is recommended) you can access the repository through direct address (URL) or through the Google applications menu available, for example, at Unicamp email environment (Google Apps). After accessing the file repository through the browser, the procedures for use are described in “Web use"!
Hair Drive File Stream the repository will be available as a folder on your device (restricted to Windows or MacOS operating systems).
Regardless of the access method, the files will be available in “My Drive” (personal files) and in “Shared Drives” (collective files). The FE file repository is available in “Shared Drives” on Google.
Access via URL
1 – Access the address: https://www.google.com.br/drive/ and click on “Access Google Drive”;

2 – Log in with your @unicamp.br account (the example below uses the username “ticfe”, you should replace it with your personal username);

Access via email (Google Apps)
1 – If you are already using your UNICAMP email (@unicamp.br) click on “Google Apps” (1) and select “Drive” (2).

Using the repository via the Web
A – Location of files
1 – Click on “Shared Drives” and a list of shared folders will be available.

B – Updating files on the shared drive
1 – If you need to update the version of a file in the cloud using a file stored on your device, use the option upload! The quickest way is to right-click on the file preview window and use the drop-down menu that will appear as in the image below. The “Upload files” and “Upload folder” options allow you to upload, respectively, files and folders stored on your computer to the shared drive.

2 – You can also click on a file and drag it to the Google Drive window to upload it!

3 – When adding files by uploading them to a location where another file with the same name already exists, you will be replacing the version of the file. A window in the bottom right corner will appear and allow you to change this behavior.
3.1 – By clicking to close the window (or when no action is performed) the old file will be replaced by the new one and a new version of the document will be created.
3.2 – By clicking on “Keep as separate file” a new document will be created with a sequential number added to its name.

C – Versions of the same file
In Google Drive, each time we update a file by uploading it or saving it after editing/updating it, we will create a new version of this file. Old versions will be available for recovery for 30 days (with a limit of 100 versions for the same file) and can be invoked at any time using the procedure below.
1 – To view the available versions of the document, select the desired file and click on “View details” (1) and then on “Manage versions” (2).

2 – In the window that opens, the available versions of the document will be displayed, and you can download, keep or delete a version by clicking on the three dots next to the document. You can also choose “Keep indefinitely” so that the version in question remains available without a 30-day limit.

D – Trash
To view deleted files, click “Recycle Bin” in the left sidebar. All files that have been deleted in the last 30 days will be listed, allowing them to be recovered or permanently deleted.

Access via Drive File Stream
Using Drive File Stream, the repository will be available on your device as if it were a local folder. It is important to note, however, that the files will continue to be stored in the cloud, meaning they do not take up space on your device. After each file update (open/edit/save), the new version will be automatically updated in the cloud and will be available for collaborative and collective work.
1 – Installation
1.1 – To use the shared Drive via Drive File Stream, download and install the program through the link below:

1.2 – Follow the installation steps;

1.3 – After finishing, wait for the program to run automatically or run it through the start menu, typing “Drive File Stream”.
2 – Configuration
2.1 - Log in with your @unicamp.br account (the example below uses the username “ticfe”, you should replace it with your personal username);

2.2 – Wait for the synchronization to finish (the icon in the bottom right corner, next to the clock, will stop changing color).
3 – Use
By default, Drive File Stream will create a “G:” drive on your device. There you will find “My Drive” and “Shared Drives”. An icon is also created on your desktop that you can use to access these folders. You can also click on the application icon (near the clock) and then click on the folder icon that will be available. These are the three ways to access cloud files through File Stream!

The files will behave as if they were actually on your computer, so double-clicks to open, copy/paste commands, file deletion, open/edit/save, in short, all normal operations can be performed on the files made available by File Stream.
