Os Unicamp Scientific and Technological Initiation Programs They serve undergraduate students, putting them in direct contact with groups and lines of research to provide learning of scientific techniques and methods and are classified in the Institutional Scientific Initiation Scholarship Program (GDP), Institutional Program of Scientific Initiation Scholarships in Affirmative Actions (GDP/AF), Institutional Program of Initiation Scholarships in Technological Development and Innovation (GDPIT) and Voluntary Scientific Initiation Program (PICV), in addition to the Dow Ilimite-se Scholarship Program and the Dow CRIE Scholarship Program (Science, Representation, Inclusion and Experience).

Program Objectives
- Awaken scientific vocation and encourage new talents among undergraduate students;
- Contribute to the training and insertion of students in research, technological development and innovation activities;
- Contribute to reducing the average time for obtaining masters and doctorate degrees;
- Contribute to the scientific training of human resources who will dedicate themselves to any professional activity;
- Contribute to the training of human resources who will dedicate themselves to strengthening the innovative capacity of companies in the country;
- Contribute to the training of human resources for research;
- Contribute to the formation of full citizens, with the conditions to participate in a creative and entrepreneurial way in their community;
- Encourage greater articulation between undergraduate and postgraduate studies;
- Contribute to reducing the average length of time students remain in postgraduate studies;
- Encourage productive researchers to involve undergraduate students in scientific, technological and artistic-cultural activities;
- Provide the scholarship holder, supervised by a qualified researcher, with the opportunity to learn research techniques and methods, as well as stimulate the development of scientific thinking and creativity, resulting from the conditions created by direct confrontation with research problems; and
- Expand student access and integration into scientific culture.
Support with printing posters for the Unicamp Scientific Initiation Congress
Unicamp's Scientific Initiation Congresses are held annually, usually at the end of October, and aim to disseminate the results of Scientific and Technological Initiation projects carried out by Unicamp undergraduate students, as well as those from other institutions. They also aim to contribute to the development of skills necessary for academic research, promoting the opportunity for interaction between researchers of all levels and areas.

For the 2025 Congress, CPDC will offer support to FE students in printing posters for the Unicamp Scientific Initiation Congress.
General orientations
- The printing request, together with the artwork, must be sent to CPDC, via email cpdcfe@unicamp.br, in the period from August 05th to September 05th, 2025, without fail. Requests submitted after the deadline will not be processed.
- For CPDC to forward the posters for printing, the size must be 90cm wide by 120cm high (90×120).

Who can request CPDC support for printing?
- FE student with FE advisor;
- Student from another Unit with a FE advisor;
- FE student with a supervisor from another unit.
Responsibilities
CPDC's responsibility is limited to receiving, forwarding for printing and processing payment for posters, and subsequently delivering the materials to students. Therefore, it is the student's sole responsibility to ensure that the materials comply with PRP specifications and guidelines, as indicated and linked above.

FAPESP Scientific Initiation Grant
This scholarship is intended for students regularly enrolled in undergraduate courses at public or private higher education institutions in the state of São Paulo for the development of scientific or technological research. This scholarship is of a continuous nature, that is, it can be requested at any time.

What is the workload of Scientific/Technological Initiation?
The scholarship holder must complete a minimum workload of 12 hours per week, carrying out tasks related to and established in the research project.
How do I apply for a scholarship from the Institutional Program for Scientific or Technological Initiation Scholarships (PIBIC / PIBITI)?
The student must seek out a UNICAMP advisor/researcher and discuss/present a possible research plan. Generally, at the beginning of April each year, PRP/Unicamp opens applications for the scholarship selection process.

How much are the scholarships worth?
The value of the scholarship varies by modality. Check the updated values in the current program notices.
- PIBIC/PIBITI: R$ 700,00
- PICV: Volunteer
- Dow Scholarship Program: ~ R$ 900,00
- FAPESP: R$ 1.080,00
Can a PIBIC scholarship holder do an internship?
Both mandatory and non-mandatory internships may be undertaken by scholarship holders, provided that a joint declaration is made that undertaking the internship will not affect their dedication to academic and research activities.

What can lead to the cancellation of the scholarship?
Loss of connection with the undergraduate course, withdrawal of enrollment, receipt of another scholarship from any institution or development agency (except social character), course/exchange abroad, employment relationship, drop in academic performance.
Is participation in the Scientific Initiation congress at UNICAMP mandatory?
Yes. All scholarship holders must present their research at the event, even if only partially. If there is just cause, in the absence or impediment of a scholarship holder, a representative may be appointed or the presentation commitment extended to the following year. In these cases, prior contact with the PIBIC Coordination is required.
Is it possible to change the topic and advisor in the middle of the IC?
Although it is not recommended, the supervisor or topic may be changed at any time, without changing the maximum deadlines for the scholarships. To do so, the request must be forwarded to the PIBIC Coordination by the supervisor and scholarship holder, so that the coordinator is aware of the change and can proceed with the replacement.
