Objective:
In 2021, Paulo Freire would be 100 years old and to commemorate this decisive event for the current scenario in education, both in and outside of Brazil, UNICAMP’s Faculty of Education will engage the generative word of life, education, criticism and freedom through international journeys about the author, throughout the second semester of 2021, starting with a round table, opening the celebrations in the morning of August 26 th.
In the same year, Raymond Williams, who was also an adult educator, in the UK, would have been 100 years old and, to celebrate this occasion, we will build an international dialogue between Paulo Freire and Raymond Williams, as centennial educators, through another round table on the same day, in the afternoon.

Objetivo do evento
Em 2021, Paulo Freire completaria 100 anos e para comemorar esse acontecimento decisivo para a educação hoje, dentro e fora do Brasil, a Faculdade de Educação da UNICAMP empenhará a palavra geradora da vida, da educação, da crítica e da liberdade, através de jornadas internacionais sobre o autor ao longo do segundo semestre de 2021, iniciando com uma Mesa Redonda para abrir as comemorações no dia 26 de agosto de 2021, na parte da manhã.
Neste mesmo ano, Raymond Williams, que também foi educador de adultos na Grã-Bretanha, completaria 100 anos e, para celebrar esta ocasião, vamos construir um diálogo internacional entre Paulo Freire e Raymond Williams, como educadores centenários, através de uma outra mesa redonda, no mesmo dia 26, na parte da tarde.
